John Legend & The Roots - Our Generation

Offered is the latest installment of Levi’s ongoing Pioneer Sessions-series. The episode centers around John Legend and the legendary Roots crew who have recorded a decent interpretation of Ernie Hines’ classic hit “Our Generation”. Here is the scoop on their song, that also heats up the anticipation for their freshly-announced Wake Up!-project.

After letting their presence be felt throughout the Bonnaroo festival earlier this month, esteemed electrofunk duo Chromeo bring forth their new single “Don’t Turn The Lights On”. As we grew the to expect P-Thugg and Dave 1 deliver a fine dancefloor-orientated fusion of synth-pop and guitar funk. The song can be found on their forthcoming third LP Business Casual.

La MJC x Lacoste Broadwick

La MJC pulls the covers off his latest collaboration based on the Lacoste Broadwick. Featuring a full seersucker material on the upper, a monogram ship embroidery is a play off of Broadwick, a small street in Soho and its subsequent boating background. Leather details including the tongue feature the saying “Fluctuat nee mergitur” which translates roughly into “it floats but does not sink”. The La MJC x Lacoste Broadwick will be available on July 3rd at colette and at Solemart Paris 2010 on July 4th, limited to the tune of 75 pairs.
